Daniel Patrick from Rugby Player to Fashion Designer

“Back in 2006 I did the Foundations of Brilliance program. At that time I had just completed the rugby season in Australia and was working out my plans for the future and what I wanted to do. My manager was working on my deal to go to France and play Rugby there and I had already started the motions to prepare for my visa. People were saying “you should go, you should go. It will be the experience of a lifetime” and I went along with it.

“I then did the Brilliance Program and as I did I started to realize that I had been doing particular things my whole life and these things aligned with fashion, and I was so excited about fashion that Rugby took a back seat and I started creating my plans to take on the fashion world. I found my purpose, it was always with me but now I knew what it was thanks to the Foundations of Brilliance program.”This allowed me to align all my activities to this purpose and fashion was the game now. I told my manager that I was doing fashion and I enrolled in Fashion school. I traded the rough and tumble of Rugby and the beautiful South of France for a crash course in Fashion. My Father being an Ex-professional Rugby player was very supportive of it and foot the bill for my tuition.

“With my purpose aligned with my actions things took off. Seven years later my designs are now worn by the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Chris Brown, Usher, and Steven Tyler to name a few and I am carried in high end stores stretching from LA to Japan. It’s rewarding to be on the right path where work is a pleasure not actually work. The Foundations of Brilliance created this for me and I would like to thank Bernard Percy for creating it.”

Daniel – Australia (now living in Los Angeles, CA)

From a young age Daniel’s interest in clothing and appearance was evident but it wasn’t until he channeled this basic purpose of creating aesthetics in human appearance that he started designing…
